Molecules can be studied in terms of the amount of energy in their chemical
bonds. Note that in the Calvin-Benson cycle there is a large increase in
the amount of chemical energy as the cycle goes from the three carbon molecule
PGA to the molecule G3P. Most of this increase is due to the redox step
