Composition II -- Activities for Week 13
-- Apr. 12-16, 1999
Monday:
- Peer Review Workshop To
participate in peer review, you must bring a draft of your argumentative synthesis.
Trade papers with at least two other students. This is our next-to-last peer
review workshop. Failure to participate in at least one peer review could mean
failure for the course.
- After we've exchanged papers, we will read some sample papers from the class if there is
time.
Wednesday: No Class -- Drafting day.
Thursday, April 15 is the last day to withdraw from a
class and receive a "W."
Friday.:
- Draft of Argumentative Synthesis due. If you want to receive the full 15 points
available for this draft, you must follow the assignment, develop your essay completely,
and turn it in at the beginning of class. Late essays receive no points, but you
must still turn in your essay before turning in Portfolio 2.
- A brief discussion of the research paper assignment.
- You may devote class time to either revising your critical review or finding sources for
your research paper.
- Homework:
- Work on revising your critical review for Portfolio 2 (due April 23, 1999).
- Begin planning your research paper.
