1. 15-minute interview session.
2. Discussion of syllabus and class.
3. Brief look at the computers.

Friday: Chapter One, Assessment Paragraphs, Grammar Exercises.

1. Begin to discuss book, chapter one and assignments.
2. Assessment paragraphs.  These are due Monday.  You need to type two paragraphs of 150 words each.  One paragraph should explain your attitude toward writing.
• For example, in the past, has writing been easy or difficult?
• What are the challenges you face when it comes to writing?
• What kind of writing do you like best?
• What are you strengths and weaknesses regarding writing?
Paragraph two should explain your attitude toward this course.  Answer questions like the following:
• Why do you think you are in this class?
• How do you think this class will help you?
• Do you think this class will be easy or difficult?  Why?
• What will you do to contribute to the class?
