The first month at home

I have to admit that we were pretty scared when we brought her home. I had to check every five minutes to make sure she was still breathing. I'm now down to checking every ten minutes. :-) She was still pretty small - just over 5 pounds, but she made it up to 7 pounds 12 oz by the time she reached 40 weeks gestational age. She's also pretty jaundiced. As it turns out, it is just a persistent form of breastmilk jaundice, and it is not harmful.
