Creating equivalent fractions

Here are some facts that need to be reviewed first.  You should be able to match the statement to the proper example.

The denominator of a fraction can be changed by creating an equivalent fraction.  To do this, an original fraction is multiplied by a special form of one.  The special form of one is a fraction with an equal numerator and denominator.  That means that the numerator and denominator are the same.

Here are some examples to study!
In each example look for the original fraction, the special form of one, and the equivalent fraction.
Remember to multiply the numerators across and multiply the denominators across the problem.

Using this skill, we will be able to change unlike fractions into like fractions.  This will allow us to add any fractions.
