Tubulin: A Case study from primary structure to macromolecular assembly

Importance/Function of Proteins:

Proteins: Proteins are  large polymers of amino acids. Proteins have a number of extremely important functions for the organism and take many diverse forms the structure of which we are still trying to understand. Indeed one of the important problems in modern computing is the development of methods to allow us to predict how a protein will fold into its three dimensional structure when placed in water.

If you want to learn how cells make proteins go here.
